itunes update/ faster iphone backup ?

with the new itunes update, i think the backup for the iphone is faster, its been about 4 min. and its half way done. as before the update, it would be barly started
just a heads up if people havent seen yet

update: its been maby 5 min. and its done backing up my phone..so i think its been made a lot faster

mine was definitely faster. and i had to updATE apps too and it didnt throw them all over my home screen or leave blanks. my screens stayed the same.

My was extremely slow, but that may be because this is a new laptop and it was the first time i synced my iphone to it; however, i was just commenting that mine was not very speedy.

Can anyone explain why after iTunes does a backup of the iPhone, does it delete my entire music library off my iPhone? I have selected "Manually manage music/videos." Is there a way to disable iTunes from doing an iPhone backup?

I too have noticed a spped increase while backing up the phone.

The time of backup also depends on the number of Apps on the phone. When the phone is backed up that Apps are as well, so that might lengthen the amount of backup greatly. My backups are generally pretty fast because I don't have many Apps as of yet.

my backups are always slow i dont have much music or pictures and no videos...i have a few apps about 20 or so but even with the update its still past the 20 minute mark...most of the time i just end up canceling the backup which could be harmful in the end but it jsut takes toooo long
