Hopefully this isn't a stupid question.
However if I just plug my iphone in to my pc after i've updated itunes, it should update the iphone right? I don't have to do anything else?

I know how to update itunes, I'm just making sure that all that needs to be done after you've updated itunes is just plug your iphone in and it will update for itself. That's all :)

yeah, it really isn't gonna update anything on your phone it is only for the computer, but yes all you have to do is just sync like normal once it is downloaded

Hopefully you're not being sarcastic :p
Well maybe someone else can just clarify if that's all that needs to be done to update your iphone. I'm moving from a Blackberry to this and on that I was pretty familiar with everything on it.

Awesome thanks a lot :)

iTunes only checks for update on a certain day (it gives you a date), unless you click check for update.

Me too... installing now
"Use iTunes 7.7 to sync music, video, and more with iPhone 3G, and download applications from the iTunes Store exclusively designed for iPhone and iPod touch with software version 2.0 or later. Also use the new Remote application for iPhone or iPod touch to control iTunes playback from anywhere in your home — a free download from the App Store.
iTunes 7.7.1 includes fixes to improve stability and performance."

Man, my previous version of iTunes worked fine. Now, when I get updates it doesn't show the correct amount of updates anymore. :embarrassed: Geez...

Can someone read through the, I think it's an XML file, and see if there is anything about an update for the iPhone? I know someone did it right before the 3G was released, when they updated iTunes, and got the 2.0 software. It was like a day or two early.
