I couldnt find a way, but is there a way to set it up so if you recieve a text from someone, it only shows who it is from and not what is said in the text?

Nope. You'll have to tell her to text when you know you're alone. LOL

No. The only way to disable it is enabling Airplane Mode - in which case you won't get the text at all until you disable Airplane Mode.

Only works when you're phone is passcode locked.

yes, but if you set the passcode to come on after an hour, it is somewhat a fix to the text popup, and the phone will only ask once an hour. or you can do 4 hrs

Yea, but who's gonna see your text messages when the phone is locked and in your pocket? That feature is virtually useless.

Exactly.
This seems to be a commonly asked question around here. Doesn't bother me but it appears a lot of people would like a solution or option for this anyway.

Yea, it doesn't bug me as much to see the same question asked repeatedly because I understand why people would be confused by such a lame lack of security. (I'd like to be able to put a password on my email as well). What bothers me more is seeing the same misinformation communicated about the passcode 'solution to the problem' every single time the question crops up.

Actually I didn't word that correctly... again. I meant the fact that we can't effectively block the pop up doesn't bother me. And yes, I agree about the misinformation.

Well, aren't you lucky to have me around, forcing you to clarify everything you say?

Very fortunate indeed, my friend. Now if you could only be around to keep me out of trouble when I'm speaking.
