Anyone experiencing lag.. for example when you click SMS, it takes a couple seconds to actually open it fully. OR when scrolling up and down your contact list, it skips. OR when your in your contact list and you click the "+" to add a contact, it takes a while to open...
Is this my phone or a variety of users?

You're not alone mine does the same thing. I think alot of people are having issues. Hopefully with the new update it will resolve these issues.

No date set that I know of yet, but lets hope soon. I think most every one has a few issues. Luckily I only have some lag on some apps opening.

Yeah, a lot of us I think are having the same issues. Lag, freezing apps, apps shutting down.
patiently awaiting the first 2.0 patch. The lag can get annoying. I realize it is temporary,so I ain't that upset about it.

The weird thing is that it does these things at random times. Not all the time, or constantly, just randomly. Its quite annoying.

Yeah same with me. Texting one sentence can be perfectly fine while the next one starts lagging like crazy. At least it's not a hardware problem though..

Yeah. Thats the only thing I'm glad about...that it can be fixed with an update or something.

I only experience lag when I turn my phone to view something in landscape mode; I've yet to hear anyone else complain about accelerator lag.

I also have the sporadic lag issue. It's very annoying when trying to text. Hopefully the update will come soon.

I never had any lag issues till the 2.0 update. Now it's pretty much standard for everything I do on the phone.
The update needs to come out soon.

Yeah there is a lag in the 2.0 firmware. I know a few who have V1 iPhones with the updated 2.0 firmware and they are experiencing the lag which they did not have before updating. Hopefully it will be fixed on 2.1 firmware.

I agree w/nightvisionmiami. I know of a couple people who have reverted back to 1.4 from 2.0 on the V1 and they experience no lag. Its the 2.0 firmware.

A reset temporarily fixes the problem.
edit:
oh, and havent had any lag problems since upgrading to 2.0 (5A347). most phone came with 2.0 (5A345). if you restore it in iTunes, it will update to the latest version.

Besides the lag most of us are de dealing with, i just had a slightly new problem crop up.
i deleted an app from my phone and about 10-20 seconds later i tried to go into settings and it just kind of froze up, not showing the settings just a blank screen with the time up top. I had to soft reset to get out of it.
I deleted another app about 5 min ago and thought i might see if i could get into settings right after the delete.
once again it froze at settings and it soft reset by itself.
I can access the settings fine now, although it laaaags about 5 seconds before it shows up.
otherwise loving the phone.
