Does anyone know if it's possible to get a 3G to replace a dead V1? My boss is on his third V1 after his previous two died and were replaced by Apple with new units. Now, his WiFi is dead on number 3 and we're wondering if there are any more replacement V1's left. Or would he luck out and get a 3G as a replacement?

Chris might remember that Treo 600's were being replaced with 650's when the supply of 600's dried up.

Just wondering.

99.9% sure it would be another V1.
Sorry to hear he/she is having such crappy luck. The odds of getting 3 bad ones is a row has to be off the charts.

I'm sure that Apple has plenty of v1s available for replacement. If not they would require the customer to sign the 2 year agreement for the new 3G data package and I could definitely see some issues arising as a result of that.

Yeah, thanks for the replies. I guess he was looking for a possible silver lining in this. Some reason to not mind going into the store yet again. It's tough since one of our main accounts is Apple! Ugh. For the record, my V1 has been cranking along nicely, thank you very much! Running 1.4.1 and jailbroken. Me loves it!
