Voice Roam Question re: 3g

had been using sprint for years, and they had a roam option to turn on or off, with regards to the phone / voice portion.

Now with att / iphone there is only an option to turn off roam for data. What will happen if i roam on voice? Does att not charge for roaming voice?

I was up near the canada border this weekend and my phone picked up the rogers siginal and displayed that on my phone instead of the att symbol.

Was i getting charged up the yang? Is my yang kersmoikeled?

When ever i search for this issue online, all i get is the data roaming questions being answered and not the voice part.

There is no roaming charges within the US. The best thing to do in the situation your were in is to put the phone in airplane mode. Then the phone becomes disabled.
