3G in NYC Got better dramatically

first day i had the 3g i went to testmyiphone.com and i only had 157kbps

and the past two days ive tried it and i go over 1500kbps using 3G, thats as fast as wifi and in some cases faster than wireless. im impress and i thank god i dont feel remorseful about it. at&t service must have upgraded their cell towers or something

I noticed that from just using it since July 11th here in Philly and surrounding cities.

Don't know the cause, but it works great, except in my apartment....

same here in my apt 3g sucks, but thank god i got wifi in my house so i be on that usually

Same here....I just turn off 3G in my place...not using it, anyway, in here.....why waste the battery life.

yea when im in my house i turn off 3G and use my wifi. and since i turned off my 3G i get better voice reception

I have not noticed a difference in voice reception between Edge and 3G. I should keep an ear out for any differences, I suppose. Nothing I have heard of yet, though.

Hey, thanks for listing this site! I love it. It actually made me laugh. I'm home alone and i'm cracking up. I tested my phone and it was on a low Wi-Fi signal. I have it plugged into my computer, as I'm about to run iTunes. So I tested it and the message it gave me was like this.

We have conducted the test and you are running at 262 kbps and we think you are on EDGE. ROFLMAO!!! That was so funny because i didn't have the best of days at work today and that statement couldn't have been more true. But it made me laugh. OMG!!! This site was all in my mind as well as my phone, yes, testmyiphone, I am on Edge!! LOL!!

So I tried again and this time it went to 997kpbs and they thought I was on WiFi. Well, kinda true. I am in the house and on 3G but it kept switching between WiFi and 3G so i tried again and this time it was more favorable @ 1497kpbs! WOW!! They've got to think I'm on 3G now, but no, the message said they still thought I was on WiFi.

I'm going to try it again when i go outside. The site is GR8, thanx for sharing it?!

Wi-Fi> 3G > Edge

wifi is faster than 3G

but we are so limited to wifi since oyu need to be in a hot spot. you can turn off the wifi and try the 3g test.

Oh! Duh! I had it mixed up! I'm thinking that 3G is better. Ha!! I'll do nother test, but I like the results of the last one. Not so shabby. I'll turn off the wifi and do it in 3G.

I do like my phone and it's fast when i need it on the road. Getting directions and train schedules, it's great.

Hold the home button and press the sleep/wake button...the screen will flash and the pic will show up in your camera roll :laugh2:
