Wireless Hotspot with iphone

Does anyone know if with AT&T and iphone you can create a "wireless hotspot" or Wifi in your home so that when you are in your home you are using that instead of the cell signal? I'm not sure if I'm asking the correct thing, but I've heard of a couple of people that also happen to be T-Mobile customers that do this. I have terrible reception in my home so I was trying to see if I could solve that issue by doing what they described to me.

Yea, thats not possible right now. wait for iCall, a third party app coming soon to app store. it will allow you to call over wifi

Oh that's the Tmobile @Home service and it basically uses UMA to allow you to voice over your WiFi. I don't believe ATT offers any such service.
