Hi
I am probably going to get the 3G on O2 Contract (£30 a month) as I figure that it will end up being cheaper than getting it unlocked (when possible) and having to pay £10 a month for the browsing Bolt On and the top up costs.

Do I get it online or go to a store?

Also, if I use 3G when I am travelling (in a car or walking) does it cost anything under contract or is it all included?

Thanks

I am not 100% sure, as I live in America, but i can provide some answers that hopefully will be correct.
You will have to get it in store. Ordering online will ensure you a phone at the store (this is called direct fufillment at the states, dont know if it's the same for you). The iphone has to be activated in-store.
Using 3g while traveling? I believe non US plans have a data cap on the phone. if you go over your designated download (idk what it is, you should know however), you will be charged for any aditional data downloaded. My recomendation is to have it off if you are not using it. otherwise any 3g usage will be under the data cap.

but my word is final. call 02 and verify your questions. good luck with your iphone!

Getting the phone online would mean no need to enquire whether the phone is in stock at a store and is basicly an easier transaction.

But saying that a fair few places have the 8gb in, its just the 16gb that is out of stock.

As for the 3g data its unlimited in the uk but if you go abroad then there is data roaming charges, hope that helps.

Agree with all the above.
I would also strongly suggest the £35/month tariff - the £30 tariff doesn't give you much in the way of calls and texts.

For the extra fiver it's well worth going for the £35 a month, as you do get a fair few extra texts and minutes.
