I currently have the first gen iPhone and I was going to upgrade to 3g until the 3g phone got a memory upgrade (or Slingbox came around) but I decided what the hell ,but then some interesting questions appeared , I was hoping you guys might be able to answer them for me

1.I currently have a 2 yr contract with AT&T and I know I'll have get a new contract , but will I have to pay a deposit like I did the first
Time?

2.if I do upgrade I going to give my brother the first gen iPhone , but he has really bad credit ,once I restore the phone and setup it as a newphone will he able to get the Prepaid service?

Thanks guys

if your already an AT&T customer i believe you won't need a deposit. You just gotta pay for the phone itself ($199 w/2 yr plan if your eligable).

So far there is no prepaid for iphones 3G

This is correct, but he's asking about giving his 1st generation iPhone to his brother to use as a pre-paid phone, and this is possible with the 1st generation iPhone...
