Cydia..what are all those installed packages

I have just j/b'ed my 3g......and under 'manage' there are loads of installed packages !!! are all of these needed? how much space do they take up?

I don't remember hardly any being there after a fresh j/b on my V1.......

just wondering

is it just my phone that has this?????

I can't believe that is the case........maybe I need to restore and re-j/b.....could somebody let me know if they have loads of pre-installed packages or if I have something weird going on

Your phone is fine. Cydia uses all those files in its normal processes. Most are not apps that you use. They Cydia is often upgraded to aid in its stability.
