best recommended mobile websites

my friend just got an instinct, and I was wondering what to recommend to him. I recommended skyfire I think that's the name. Which promises iPhone like browsing on non-iphones. I don't know if they're up and running. Point is what websites would you recommend to a friend who's new to the "tapped in" mobile experience.
