I found this on Digg and I thought the multi-colored iPhones were pretty cool.

You can actually do this with colorware.

Except you won't lose your warranty and it doesn't cost an additional $200+

Interesting.
I like the Blue and Green, not so much the Yellow and Pink.

colorware hasn't started offering colorization for 3g yet. I think its stupid if they only make the 8gig in multicolor. Those colors don't look very apple-like IMO. But who knows??

The blue color isn't bad. I still wouldn't ditch my White for it though. If they did come out with colors, I'd prefer the blue to be baby blue.

Doesn't make sense that colors would only be offered in the 8 gig. Seems like there would be more demand in the 16 gig. But hey, what do I know.

May be Dell or Sony will come out with a look alike iPhone in those color. I still prefer Black or White Apple anytime.

They are ok. But I still think I like the white one the best. White is such a clean color. I would be worried about the colors showing all the smudges like the black one.

I also don't see these as being very Apple. If they do release more colors I foresee them being the RED (like they have with iPods now) in addition to a few more colors that are also similar to the current iPods. Certainly nothing this outlandish, though I do like the green.

the original ipod mini's came in five colors including pink gold and green, so this is something apple has done before

"pink, gold and green" is very different than "red, yellow and orange". the images on that site look like the old school markers that i wasnt allowed to play with as a child. i dont want my cutting edge technology looking like it was designed by Tyco.

im not saying ill ever get any of these colors, im happy with my black. but im jus saying apple has done multiple colors before so it wouldn't be to out of the question for them to do it again at some point

Once you turn off location services, and have a charger available just in case - then you'll love it. Since you're in NY 3G shouldn't be a problem, and it's freakin' quick compared to EDGE. I HATE EDGE now. Lemme know if you have any specific questions, but overall, I'd recommend it.

oy. always gotta be men vs. women thing, eh?
Here's my actual opinion, all jokes aside -
I prefer the 3G by quite a large margin. To ME 3G is worth it. The potential of GPS is icing on the cake. I did enjoy the V1, but there was no question as to whether or not I'd upgrade for the "superior" 3G.

aaaaaaand, you're right. I'll toss my v2 for v3 if the price is right. I made $300 by upgrading 2 phones, one from 8 to 16, and one from 8 to 8. So how could I not upgrade?

I bought the AEBS and a few days later wished I had got the Time Capsule. But I do have an external HD and it works great with my MBP. I only backup once a week and seems to be working fine.
The Time Capsule does hourly, daily, and I think weekly backups and deletes the oldest ones when the disk is full. But even if you got the 500mb, that is a lot of backup.

Youre right. Upgrading does make sense, and I would have definitely made a profit if I had sold my phone. Unfortunately, I have my husband and father that would send me to gadget rehab, and would not listen to my logical reason for getting yet ANOTHER new phone not even 5 months after I got my first iphone. (After buying and selling MANY MANY other phones every 3 months)

Apple products are great aren't they? No configuration BS, truly plug and play. As for the transfer, it should go smooth but yes it will take some time. Especially the movies part.

You have the same setup I do. I have an external HD and it works seamlessly with the AirPort. As far as setup, I basically just plugged the thing in and it recognized my 2 MBP's and both iphones instantly. All I can say coming from windows is unbelievable.
