I can't find any iphones first generation that are still locked, on ebay or craigslist?
Any of you feel like letting me buy yours?

Or do you have any places I should look?

I'd let mine go for $300 although this transaction might not be allowed at EiC. Mods, I hope this is not against forum rules. If so, please advise.

I had a feeling this would happen... I think the first gen iPhones were built a lot better than the new 3G. Don't get me wrong I think the new 3G is awesome! but I think people are going to try and buy first gen iPhones for the build quality.

If you don't mind me asking.... why do you was a first gen when you can get a 3G for $199?

On eBay now there is a user named funcritter who has a 1st generation phone locked for $200, nine hours to go on auction.

i have a semi-working first gen iphone, 2.0 firmware that has not been tinkered with.

the problem lies in the chip that drives the screen and other multimedia functions.

see pictures if you need:

(occurs during bootup)

(after bootup finishes)

(look at the line/bar of jumbled picture on the left side of the screen)

please PM for other details.

That iPhone I mentioned above sold for $375 on eBay. It was a 8GB LOCKED model, that's just plain insane!

Even if it was locked, the v1s are very easy (and its free) to unlock.

I needed more space so I just bought a new 16gb 3g iphone, I wanted a v1 but refused to pay what people are selling them for. I am willing to sell my v1, 2.0, still locked 8gb iphone to anybody with the money. Just make an offer.
