Anyone have the ipod function crash?

I bought my 3G phone on Thursday and I've noticed that the ipod feature has crashed about 4 times already. I'll be flipping through all my albums covers, which I notice it lags on or has a jerky motion instead of a smooth flow when flipping through album covers and I'll touch one cover to start playing music when I notice the cover turns completely black and the ipod crashes and takes me back to the home screen.

Even when my original iPhone was running software 2.0, it never did this to me. Is anyone else experiencing that problem with their 3G iPhone?

I'm thinking about doing a restore and re-installing software 2.0. Does this sound like a good idea? I'm hoping it's a software problem.

It sure can't hurt. Hopefully this update to 2.0 will be out soon and fix all this craziness. I guess I am one of the lucky few in that the only thing I am experiencing is a little lag in screen response and some apps opening.
