There are 17 new iPhone 3G cases in the review section (http://www.everythingicafe.com/reviews/iphone-accessories-reviews/cases/iphone-3g-cases/) that allow visitors to enter reviews and ratings.
All reviews are moderated, but will be published shortly upon receipt. Having one central resource will allow members to read reviews and get valuable feedback from real customers. While I'm sure people will still use the forums for active discussions on particular cases and that's perfectly fine.
Thanks in advance for your contributions to the new review section!
If you have any problems submitting your review, please let me know.

Anything out there similar to the iSkin Revo? I love the one on my V1 but I guess they don't have one for the G3 model yet.
DLO's hip case for the 1v Iphone had an automatic update as soon as I put my 3g iphone in it! Amazing! =D

Request: If you're writing a 3G case review, please check to see if the case affects the 3G reception! If holding your palm over the back of the iPhone 3G can take you from 5 bars to 3 (as it does with mine) then case material is going to make a difference.

I just ordered the Contour Flick in White. Hopefully I like it as much as my slider for my V1.
Not a bad price though, $24.95 from jr.com $10 less than apple

I got one zuluworks (http://www.zuluworks.com/prod/smallcases/smallcases_main.htm)they're only like $8, come in different colors and two styles. So far I like it. it's more of a holster than a case, but it clips to my messenger bag, which makes it easy to answer calls while on my bike. (using the one headphone and mic control)
I got this one:
http://www.zuluworks.com/prod/smallcases/images/day_lg_ns.jpg
the other style has a flap and slots for sim cards. zuluworks makes stuff for pilots, the sim card slots are for different reigons I guess.

The iPhone is an Internet-enabled multimedia smartphone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It has a multi-touch screen with virtual keyboard and buttons, but a minimal amount of hardware input. The iPhone's functions include those of a camera phone and portable media player (equivalent to the iPod).

Well they told me the T3 was pushed back to ship 8/1-8/7 sometime. I hope that it's soon because my 30-day time frame for my best buy case is nearing shortly after that. I don't want to keep this &&&&&&&& $32 case.

Now that I am a 3G 16GB Black iPhone owner :2cool:, I have been checking out cases. Has anyone checked out this case (http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CSKIPH3G-BK)? I used to have a Seidio one for my V1 iPhone and it was really good. I already have the holster, so I just need a case.
Darn cases all look the same after a while.
The iSkin from Revo looks promising, has it been released yet, if so are there any reviews?
Thanks
I realize Im new here and hopefully this post isnt against any TOS rules, if it is I apologize and please delete it.
That being said after spending a sometime on line I came across this web site.
https://gordysgadgets.3dcartstores.com/iSkin-Revo-2-for-3G-iPhone_c_93-1-0.html
I sent an email to this person and it appears that once he receives the new iSkin Revo2 he'll be offering them at slightly less than what iSkin sells them for.
Hope this helps,

the only problem is that after taking theses cases on and off multiple times, they start to get kind of stretched out! But if you leave it on it stays pretty tight!

INcase Leather Sleeve
Colors: Black
Price: 34.95
http://s2.thisnext.com/media/230x230_no_border/Incase-Leather-Fitted-Sleeve_33175062.jpg
By far the Incase Leather Sleeve is the best leather case I have yet to use. I have needed a good case for a RAZR V9 and TREO 680 and they all lacked what I have experienced from Incase.
The construction is excellent. Well sewed together and the fit is superb. The softness of the leather may remind you of that old commercial on television about "Corinthian Leather." It is supple and firm at the same time. The feel of the case is soft to the touch and it gives you a secure sense in your hand.
With a covered snap there are no exposed metal which keeps its black leather style.
All necessary slots were cut out and positioned properly and are clear of obstructions. Of course, you cannot dock your iPhone with this case, but thats why the phone came with a cord and power cube! Duh!
The best thing about this leather case is the clip. Clearly it is a personal preference to require a clip on my case. I like to keep the phone inside my front pants pocket with the clip on the outside. What is so great about the clip is that it is not just your regular metal clip covered in leather but is a metal clip with a rubber insert at the bottom. This is a terrific design which keeps the phone clipped securely to pants or belt or pocket or wherever. The rubber gromet works effectively to keep the phone in place; even while sitting, standing or getting in or out of the car.
Overall, the Incase Leather Sleeve is best leather case I have seen or used. Now if they would only make one for the Treo or Razr V9.
I bought a leather case from a kiosk in the mall, after an hour of being in the case I went to use my phone and I received the error message "sim card not installed". Lucky for me the I was 5 minutes from the Apple Store. The service tech put his sim card in my phone and mine in his and both phones worked flawlessly, he said it was probably an isolated incident and if I had any problems with it to bring the phone back and they'd give me another one. An hour later I went to use my phone again and it was acting very erratic. Once I stopped using the leather case the phone worked fine. Strangest thing I'd ever seen.
I'd like to buy a rubber case that has a belt clip but haven't had any luck locating one. I thought about the Revo2 but it doesn't appear their going to be coming out anytime soon.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Incase rubber is best...in my opinion.

Same here John, the more I look at it the more I like it. Any idea when it's going to be released?
I just received the new iSkin Revo case and holster. Great case, fits perfectly, has the protection for the headset jack and also the connection where the charger is attached, all perfectly fitted. The plastic screen protector also fits well on the front and back (for storage) of the case, no issues. Shipping was fast as it was shipped the very next day after ordering, I ordered late afternoon so there was no way it could go out the same day. Took about a week to receive it via UPS Ground shipping which was okay since it has to go through Customs.

Got my case-mate naked case after almost a month of waiting...
Def not worth the wait.
The case arrived OEM style, no retail packaging but they were kind enough to include a note saying the packaging was being revised and they didn't want anyone to have to wait any longer than they have to. Don't really care personally but others might.
My excitement was cut short when I saw a bad scratch on the back and the front plate was cracked at the bottom. At first I was like "ok, I waited long enough for this maybe I'll just deal with it" until I put it on the 3g iphone. The fitment was less than stellar, with gaps in the top where it should be a flush mate. The face shield can stick to the iphone's screen causing a temporary "wet" effect where it sticks only where you hvae touched (yes I have cleaned the screen and the faceplate). The lock button is so recessed my larger type finger cannot fit in the hole very easily and pushing in to hit the button is met with a sharp plastic edge which isn't very comfortable. Seems all the buttons are this way. The case itself is pretty thick which made it impossible to use in any hip holster. Didn't realize this was how they are made which is my fault.
I have sent an email to case-mate customer support requesting refund. Picked up a front shield from "invisibleshield" and if that works out well I'll get the backing for it.

Im a firm believer in communication especially when it comes to a business transaction, that being said I have written to iSkin on 3 different occasions and have yet to receive a response. I figure if their customer service is that bad BEFORE I send them my money whats it going to be like AFTER?
Chances are I'll wait and purchase from Speck.

I emailed them at least three times before ordering and always got a response by the next day at the latest. Their communications with me was excellent so too bad you haven't had the same experience. I used the link on their web site and they were excellent at answering all my questions in a timely manner.

IMO Having a protective case on an iPhone kinda shows you are clumsy enough to drop it that you need that protection. It reminds me of this movie where the mom taped a thick foam on her son coz he is going for soccer practice LoL. I like it simple and leave it the way it is. I like the way it looks without the case it shows that you can handle delicate things. How can you enjoy your phone if you are going to cover it? Just imagine Getting a ferarri and wrapping it with some kind of plastic case while driving so you dont get dents ROFL. Then again its just an opinion. Relax its just a phone!

Opinions are nice but they won't help when someone else needs to make a call on your phone. I hope you're not the sort that will deny a friend in an emergency? Can you imagine the feeling as a close friend fumbles your naked iPhone 3G and it slips from his hands like a wet bar of soap?
"CRACK-A-LACK!" " -Oops, Oh, I'm soooo sorryyyyy...I hope it was insured?"
Everyone has dropped something sometime. Clumsiness is not a permanent recurring disability; it can overtake the surest of grips and the steadiest of hands when footing is suddenly unsure or the attention is taken off guard. The wise among us are well aware of this. And a broken screen from a 3 foot drop is not cool. The sobering word "fragility" comes to mind.
A case is the next best thing to insurance and can make the difference between an unscathed iPhone and a replacement iphone, but yeah, a naked iPhone looks better to me for what it's worth.
How can I enjoy my phone by covering it? I can enjoy it just fine thanks. It works the same covered or uncovered.
I see no point in showing others how well I can handle delicate things. That might come in handy if I was an egg handler or circus juggler or something though...
So yes, let's all relax; it's just a phone, if you don't mind the daily thought of risking $600 for a new one.

Making a generalization like calling someone clumsy because they want a protective case for their cell phone is IMO narrow minded. Did you ever think that because the iphone is no longer in the individuals front pocket/purse and in a holster strapped to their side that it can and will inadvertently fall out and onto the ground? Is it wrong to take the necessary precautions and make sure the phone is protected if such a thing happens?
You made reference to a Ferrari, do you not have a car? Are you not insured? According to your logic you don't need auto insurance since you never make mistakes or have any accident's. Must be nice to live in a perfect world
Good thing I'm relaxed and realize it's just a phone, otherwise I would have been offended... lol
FWIW I ordered my case today

I agree with what you are saying But I think everybody is missing one scenario from one of the members here who had an iphone WITH A CASE dropped it and still cracked if its gonna crack its gonna crack. If a friend of mine is in an emergency situation I wouldnt deny any helping hand even if it cost me my iphone thus ITS JUST A PHONE... what is $600 in an event of an emergency. I will rather keep my friend than a phone. thanks.

I'm very sorry If I ever offended anyone believe me it was done uncosciously. But obsessing over a phone isnt my cup of tea and I'm sorry if I feel different about it. Somebody from this forum dropped the iphone while inside a case and still got their screen cracked and i find everybody else still follows the trend I wont be surprised if they make a permanent neck strap for fail safe protection for iphone and see obsessed people still buys it.:laugh2: In reference of the ferarri you must have misunderstood my logic again or I misunderstood yours? So you mean to say your car is also wrapped in some kind of protective case while driving around or its also strapped in a holster on your side ROFL?:laugh2:. I wasnt referring to insurance on that statement , if i was then then Allstate, Geico, and State Farm are offering insurance for iphones for a certain amount.

One instance of damage within a case means all cases will fail, even the thick rubber one that Im getting? Be reasonable. I'm not trying to down anyone but common sense is common sense. I stand by every word I've said. $600 may be worth an emergency but what if it is just a favor? I would not feel comfy letting anyone use my phone without a case. That's just careless IMO.

Im not the one who started the emergency usage issue i just replied and what kind of friends would pose great risk of damage, should they be forbidden inside your house as well unless everything is covered with a thick rubber case?. If its a favor, how long does one use a phone? 2-4-10 mins max. you are not letting them take it home are you? To each his own.

Household furniture and other items in my house are not as likely be handled and dropped; your attempt to use this as an example has no ground to stand on. Phones are regularly handled with much more frequency than say an expensive vase or piece of furniture. Not a week goes buy when I am asked by someone to use my phone. I still stand by all of my origional statements to have the phone protected is the best idea. But as you say to each his own.
I respect your right to disagree no matter how illogical your opinion seems to me. Good luck with your iPhone if indeed you actually have one. Not saying you don't.

In that case you will still have to buy a "thick rubber case" just in case they want to see an expensive vase inside your house because we will never know if they just lift it up and look at it. LOL. If someone is really looking for protection i suggest getting it covered by insurance or look for another set of friends who dont have tendencies to break things than to lose a precious phone. Yes i have 4 3g's and all of them are without case. As i said whats the point of getting something nice and coating it with some rubber case to preserve it for a couple of years and end up finding that a newer iphone is comming out then the cycle repeats. ROFL. Maybe they are preserving the iphone to pass it on the next generation LMAO!:laugh2:

The point is most people would like to sell their unscratched phones at a premium price when it's time to renew... ROFL! How can you be so utterly, utterly clueless? Oh yeah, you are the only one in perhaps a thousand who doesn't need any sort of protection for his iPhone! Oh, I'm sorry; his 4 PHONES!
Pssst! What the hey are you doing with 4 3G phones anyway kiddo? Since you can't use them all at once I assume you are either letting others use them or you have some sort of iPhone fettish. If other people are using them without cases then your story of not being clumsy is no longer meaningful because you are letting OTHER people use them. And don't give me that one in a million post of the guy who dropped his iPhone while it was in a case story; it's just too lame. It's like saying because you saw ONE car accident in the news you will never drive again even though everyone else continues to drive. It's like saying because your friend got struck by lightning you will never go outdoors again. Gimme a break! Like you cannot concieve the guys iPhone had a rare, critical defective screen stress condition to begin with....The more I read your posts the more I see what a crock of bull you are trying to pass. Sorry; sounds like a tall tale to me unless you can post a pic of your 4 3G phones all together. ...NOTTTT!
Now that you are caught fibbing how can you now expect anyone to believe your opinions or remarks, not that you are making a lick of sense so far!
But keep it comming; I enjoy a good laugh. LOL!
The first part of you post was bogus; I already told you furniture/vases aren't generally handled blah blah, and by emergency I meant not life or death, but I will comment a little on this part:
The point is most people would like to sell their unscratched phones at a premium price when it's time to renew but looks like you love to give yours away scratched up apparently; or do you simply toss them in the trash after a year or two? Nice to finally meet Mr. moneybags though! ROFL! How can you be so clueless? Oh yeah, you are the only one in perhaps a thousand who doesn't need any sort of protection for his iPhone!

In reference to the vase and furniture i believe you were to one who mentioned it in the first place even tho its so random then again i cant blame you it was your idea. Who said anything about life and death? i didnt recall typing those words I believe its your own words again. Pls. keep up.
Unscratches cellphones? as i said if you are that kind of a clumsy fellow to drop, scratch or what else god knows what you do with your phone other than making phone calls and other functions I cant blame you well thats you thats your business if thats what makes you happy good for you LoL's. I just use it as a regular phone & occational email. I think a protective case is not the answer maybe more like lifestyle or behavioral change if ever i have distructive habits. :gasp:
Talking about best protection to your phone your answer is "thick rubber case" IMO i would stick to insurance. Not that i have one but if you talk about best protection nothing beats insurance. Think.
My family is now at Shelter Island when they get back from vacation i will take some snaps of your worshiped phone without cases. Pls. dont hate me if i make good money its not my fault.:laugh2:

I think you are crazy not to consider the ZAGG invisibleSHIELD. This stuff is made of a material the defence force uses for their helicopter blade protection. It's only 2mm thick and is virtuall indestructible. I have one and not a scratch to be seen. Better still it backs itself with a lifetime warranty, very cheap too if you have the patience to wait 3 weeks for delivery. Highly recommend it!!

Just received the Speck Toughcase. Although I would not trust the belt clip it does serve as a neat stand for the iPhone 3G. The case is just what I wanted; looks even better in real life. A macho heavy duty design in black. I'm tempted to give it a 3 ft (waist high) drop test and post a video...

The clip is well designed in form; the belt clamp itself has a catch so it won't easily slip off; no worries there, but if you have to actually run or do some athletic type activity the thinness of the assembly itself may have me keep my eye on the belt clip during that activity. Otherwise it's acceptable to me. I've had bad experiences with belt clips in the past; maybe that is why I feel the way I do; don't know if they actually make a dependable one; but I guess you will judge it for yourself soon; then give me your opinion.

Thanks Chimera, not knowing better I bought a speck case and a holster off ebay for like $15.00, on the description it stated that it was for the the iphone 3G so naturally I thought it would work. The case fit perfect the holster was to small and wouldn't hold the phone when it was in the case. Needless to say I had to return the two and am now waiting for a refund.
Hopefully I'll have my NEW Speck case by tomorrow (Saturday). I'll take some pictures and post them asap.

Tug,
Looks like the clip can be used clamping it on the sun visor or rear view mirror
Of your vehicle. I use an FM transmitter to send the iPhone sound to the autos speakers. Works well.
Also I dropped the iPhone about 3 feet, waist height, 3 times. Not a mark.

Chimera, I have a Kenwood DNX8120 in my truck which has blue tooth and is without a doubt the best car stereo I've ever owned. When my 3G rings the stereo stops playing and whatever screen is showing automatically goes to the blue tooth screen and tells me I have a phone call at which time I can either take the call or ignore it.
Check it out

Thanks for the link on this case! Looks really rugged yet allows full access to front touchscreen and all buttons. I wonder how durable the clip is and if the case stays on their securely.
I also like that the bottom breaks away. I have a Pro Clip dash mount that fits the Iphone perfectly (used it formerly for my Treo) and it only accepts the bottom 1.25" of the phone. The case I have now is difficult to remove as it is leather. This would solve that problem.
Have you tried the belt clip on your belt? Just curious what your findings are.
It looks like the up down volume buttons are covered. How do the operate thru the case?

Folks, I got the Speck SeeThru case for iPhone 3G, and this is the first case that I actually want to keep on the phone! Got the Diamond Clear version, even though they come in colors too. Awesome case! Best I've ever used. I used to have the ToughSkin for my 1st Gen iPhone, and although it was truly a beast of a case, since I like to put it in my pocket, the rubber made it tough to get out of my pocket. This case is the best of all worlds--clear plastic case that doesn't add much bulk nor weight to the iPhone 3G--it has rubber grips on the side so it doesn't slip out of my hand when I'm on the phone. This is a must, and something that always kept me away from the plastic cases--felt like a bar of soap. The chrome and all plastic back and sides are protected. The coolest part is the bottom of the case slides right off (gotta grip it by the front bottom) and allows me to place it in the dock at work for when I play music...or the bottom of the case can be turned on its front to use as a stand to watch movies. Brilliant! This is the first case I'm actually happy with.
If you are looking for a case that lets you show off the sexy iPhone 3G, but yet is protective, functional, and has a bit of rubbery grip where you need it, look no further! And only $30. Good deal.

The clip stays on securely but if you are doing any athletic activity you may want the plastic assembly to be more heavy duty. One thing I notice though is that funny mid clamp sticks out an can scratch your arm unless you have a long sleeve shirt. The buttons on the actual case are surprisingly well designed and function well IMHO.
Tug that Bluetooth setup you have; are you saying you are able to play your iPhone music out of your car stereo via Bluetooth?:foot:
If this is true is it true stereo music or mono? Even if it doesn't that's a nice feature you described.
Impaler glad you like the SeeThru. Speck seems to be making products tha are different and unusually cool. I don't think I will ever change my Toughskin unless they make one water resistant.

Chimera, unfortunately I have a cable that runs from the back of the stereo to my glove box which I connect either my Iphone or Ipod to. I really wish the installers would have ran the cable to the center console, it would have been much more convenient. I may change it in time, who knows? <shrug>

Crazy maybe, but I am much less worried about dropping my iPhone. In my opinion I could have dropped it 5 feet or more with no damage. The case is that tough yet provides rubber enough for impact resistance and looks great doing it. And I don't plan to baby a phone due to some "one in a thousand" 3 foot drop screen crack post. So I felt I had to prove something to myself as well as others out there; the right case can protect your phone and people who prefer them over "naked phone fashion" get more protection.
Personally I seriously like the look better than the naked phone look itself. But perhaps that taste is mostly for outdoors types, people who love a sci-fi look, jeep or hummer owners, or just people who want something different.

Well after searching and searching I think I've found my every day case solution.....
I picked up the Contour fusion case from the Apple store and so far like everything about it. Its slim enough that it doesn't increase the overall profile of the Iphone 3G, yet adds a silicone-type shell and raised screen parameter ridge. The harder style "back-bone" aids in sliding in and out of your pocket.
http://www.contourcase.com/fusion/fusioniphone3g/
For a hip style carrier, when needed I picked up a DIO horizontal hip case, spec'ed for a blackberry, this case fit the Iphone 3G with the contour case perfectly. This in my opinion offers a great everyday, professional style protection for your Iphone.
http://www.dlo.com/Products/HipCase_Prod.tpl?command=showpage&cart=121970037036283
Now I am a huge outdoor person, fishing, hiking, camping, jeeping, etc. and when Otterbox releases their case for the 3G, I'll definitley pick one up. But for everyday use this combo is hard to beat.
Those you do need to pick up some sort of screen protector because the Fusion doesn't come with any.
Chimera,
UPS delivered my Speck case a couple of hours ago and I have to admit I like it, the thing I like the most is I no longer have to carry this phone in my front pocket, gawed that was annoying. I wish they came in something other than black but I knew what I was getting when I bought it so I cant complain to much

Cool pics Tug. I must admit I like the look a lot also.
As well as the fact that it withstands a three foot drop.
Wouldn't trade it for any case out there.
If it comes with a guarantee that the phone will not break in a three foot drop then it serves its purpose. If not then i dont see a difference. Thick, thin or no case at all.

I think the Speck tough case is a ridiculously-large and needlessly bulky case. Having said that...
That's a legal nightmare I'd never get myself into, and I don't blame any company for not getting into. There are too many variables, angles, etc., that phones can be dropped from, and different velocities...otherwise I could throw my phone with force and break it just to get another one. No case-maker who has any business sense will ever make a guarantee like that--we are expected to exercise reasonable caution to avoid breaking our phones.
Well said. I also believe in the beauty of simplicity. Wrapping the iphone in a case to protect it from scratch and bumps and denying yourself to appreciate its elegant form and finish so just when you sell it you can get a much better price because its still prestine.
Lucky buyer, they will enjoy what you didnt.
To think of it, the phone may not be yours. You are merely a safekeeper.
If thats the logic of keeping it prestine.
Now thats a thought.

Theres only two things in life are guaranteed death and taxes everything else is a crap shoot.
I have both a Speck case and a Revo2 and I can tell you that as long as that Speck case holds out it'll be my case of choice not because I'm worried about dropping it but I actually like the look and the feel of it and when it's in the holster which it is 90% of the time the size and the way it looks doesn't bother me in the least.
When I bought the iphone 3g the first thing I did was look for a screen protector and a case with holster but during the two weeks that I didn't have one carrying that phone in my front pocket was nothing but a pain in the arse and for a short period of time I actually regretted buying the 3G just for that reason.
nec can you honestly tell this group you've never accidentally dropped anything? Out of curiosity nec what kind of case do you have?

i dont have a case honestly. I like to see my phone as it is. I have had several expensive phones in the past much more expensive than the 3g and none of them got dropped because i know its a phone and took extra caution. I cant say i havent dropped anything. If ever i drop something its because knowingly that they dont tend to break or of no importance.
Dont get me wrong if you bought the case because of its looks and how it feels its a different story. You may like what i dont like vice versa. If you bought it lets say as protection then thats your choice thats what you believe is best for your phone. All im saying is I dont agree with Cases.
Maybe im just carefull about my things and dont need protection in a form of a plastic or rubber case.

None of this makes any sense... you dont have case, and the way it sounds have no intention of getting a case but yet you constantly feel the need to post in a thread named "iPhone 3G Cases Customer Review Section".
At any rate I've passed on what information I could to help other members of this forum make an informed decision on the future purchase of a case for their 3G.
Best of luck,

I didnt know People get emotionally hurt on comments for cellphone cases. SorryTug. I didnt know you are so emotional. Why do you make personal attacks and call me names just because i disagree with your case. By calling me Troll then I can probobly call you a Sissy because thats what sissys do when they get emotional they cry.
Dont get personal and make personal attacks we are talking about reviewing a cellphone case or are you gonna attack who ever disagree with what you say?. Its childish really why cant you take criticism grow up. Do you want everybody sending you messages everyday to say you have the best cellphone case ever made if not they are not your friends anymore? LOL. Good luck.
Why do you also attack the Admin? if you dont like the forum you can make your own dont blame him for your lack of emotional stability.
If you dont like being criticized then start your own thread and name it
"Im a Princess, I get what I want" Geez and they like that rugged case...
What do you mean you have to own one to make a review on something? In that case all who makes reviews are filthy rich. For example people who makes review of cars that means they have to buy it first just to make a review... Wow. Thats gonna be a tuff job. People on CNET Reviews must be renting a big personal storage because they got tons of reviews. ROFL.
The thread says "iPhone 3G Cases Customer Review Section" not "iPhone 3G Case Owner Review Section Non case owners get out" Get your facts right.
Dont be so vain you think this thread is about you. LOL.
As i said people who cant take criticism should not post they will only hurt themselves or attack people who doesnt agree with them.

You should be getting paid commissions on selling these...LOL
I purchased one on your recommendation and rec'd it today UPS (man those guys are fast) I purchased it on Sunday and it was here 3 days later.
The pics make it look alot bigger than it really is. It is actually perfect for my needs and I feel that it will protect my investment very well. I can't imagine my phone ever slipping out of my hand accidentally with the rubber case.
Thank you for your help!

Never say never... earlier this morning I was walking with my iphone in my right hand when it brushed up against my leg and it accidentally slipped out of my hand. I cant believe I caught it before it actually hit the ground, I didn't think I could still move that fast lol

Not a problem Chimera, for what it's worth I took your advice on the little yellow triangle with the exclamation point. It's not as good as an ignore button that some of the other forums I belong to have but I'm sure it works just as well.

I think the full skin (front and back) is like $22 installed. I was very impressed with the product. You can order the kit online and do it yourself. They give you everything you need and to be honest it looked easy enough to do. I just thought it was pretty cheap to have them do it. I think the installation cost $3 and took 4-5 minutes.

Tug, you should also check out the Bodyguardz shield. I've tried both Invisible Shield and Bodyguardz and found the Bodyguardz to be a lot better. A lot of people don't like the "orange peel" effect that the Invisible shield gives.
But they both do exactly the same thing.

Just thought I'd post up and give my opinions of the Speck and iSkin cases since I own them both.
I like the feel of the Speck IMO it gives the phone some substance.... something to hang onto if you will. What I didnt like about it was the holster, the clips on the side that keep the case/phone from falling out stick out to far and often get caught on an object if your walking to close. Theres been times when where I'd scrape the inside of my wrist on the clips if I wasnt careful. All in all its a good case but the holster design leaves alot to be desired for.
The Revo2 again IMO is a good case but because the Iphone is a touch screen the clear plastic face plate that comes with the case wasnt needed. Another issue I had with the Revo2 was it was difficult to pull the phone out from the holster. There were times when I'd be driving, the phone would ring and I'd have to pull over to get the phone out of the holster just to answer the call. Now the first thing I do before I get behind the wheel is pull the phone out of the holster and Im good to go.
If I were to do this all over again I'd more than likely go with the Revo2 but beings I have them both Im sure I'll switch from time to time.

I love my new speck tire tread case (that's what I call it) however the belt clip housing lasted exactly 1 week and the clip broke when I sat down in the car. It was a very low impact type move and it snapped like a twig.
Originally I purchased it for the belt clip feature and also to protect the phone. I found that I can do without the belt clip and really like how the case looks and feels.
I found a car mount that works perfectly with this case that is made by Pro Clip
Their mounting system is 2 fold. First you select the mount for your specific car, and then you pick the holder for your specific phone. I purchased the following items for my 2004 Explorer and it is the best mount I have ever had for a car. The thing I like about it is that if you change cars but have the same phone you just purchase the correct mount for the car, and use the same holder for your phone as they all couple together the same way.
Heres the links:

Their stuff is a little pricey but worth every dollar. The mount is rock solid and is made specifically for the phone and your car.

Impaler; As I mentioned in a previous post it has a very good quality suction cup mount device included in the $29 price, which even has a release lever. This is a very good quality kit in my opinion.
So yes Tug, run, don't walk to your nearest RS store.
One other thing, I have not tried it without the iPhone case so I cant promise what kind of naked fit it would be. I'll try later.
Edit: The naked iPhone will not fit flush because of the wide end bracket openings so I would not recommend it on anything other than the case I have; the Speck Toughcase; it's like they were made for each other.

I just got my Ivolution case from Vaja and thought id share some pics and initial thoughts.
First off, this is my second case from Vaja, as I had one for my 2G phone. Based off of that I had to have another. This case did not disappoint.
The colors I chose were dark blue for the front, steel grey for the back, and vibrant orange for a splash of color on the inside. Its not visible when the phone is in, I just liked the contrast.
The case is very sturdy and should protect from and minor drops as the bottom corners are covered, but the top ones aren't. So at the right angle there could still be damage. The leather is top quality as is normal from Vaja and the smell upon opening is just awesome. I would recommend vaja to anyone looking for not just a phone case, but a laptop case, bag or anything else they make. Enjoy the photos.

Chris, going back to the issue you had a few days back with your Incase Slider case and getting it off your Invisible Shield protected iPhone.
Have you checked out this case (https://www.***********.com/p-379-iphone-3g-full-protector-case-black.aspx)?
I have the Bodyguardz on my phone and have had nothing but problems finding a case that will fit my phone with the shield. But I ordered this case the other day and it works great with my Bodyguardz. The case slips right on and comes off easily too, but offers protection no different to the Incase Slider. No more messing about with those oven gloves that you had to use.
It's dirt cheap too. Might be worth considering?
I ordered mine Wednesday evening and it was in my mail box when I got home from work Thursday night. Can't beat that for fast shipping.

I received my SwitchEasy Colors case a few days, so I've had a bit of time to play around with, and see how it fares in day to day use.
It is extremely simple to put, just slide the bottom in first then roll the top corners in. Immediately it gives a nice snug fit. It gives full chrome, volume rocker and home button protection. Speaking of the home button, it is accessed by pressing a "jelly" like piece of plastic. I have found this to be OK most times, but sometimes I don't know if I'm pressing hard enough, because at times it's hard to tell if your pressing down the actual physical home button, or just the "jelly". The case also includes a dock protector, a headphone jack protector, 2 screen protectors and a little cloth.
The silicon that this case is made out of, is very nice. It has a nice soft feel to it, and comes in and out of your pocket relativly easy; with minimal lint attraction (although I think it's more noticeable with the black because you can see light colored lint much more on the dark). The back is completely smooth, no SwitchEasy logo's nothing, just a little cut-out for the camera lens. One little complaint about the silicon, is that the border along the screen flaps up quite easily, but I guess you can't expect flap-free from a soft silicon case like this.
Although the case is quite thin, it sometimes is difficult to access buttons on the screen that are at the very bottom, because the ridge is in the way. But it doesn't bother me too much. The power button and volume rocker piece are nice and thick, and give a nice tactile feel. The ringer/silent switch is slightly difficult to switch because it's very close to the silicone on both sides, but again, it's not that big of deal.
The screen protectors that come with it are actually quite decent. I would highly recommend to find a dust free (or as close as you can get) room, because during application, dust can come in contact with the protector and that's not good. I steamed up my bathroom a bit, which worked quite well, (if your wondering why steaming up your bathroom, it's because the dust particles will cling to the water molecules in the air, thus a dust free-er room).
So, in conclusion, I really think this is a great case, it has a great feel. It provides overall protection, and has a nice simplistic look. Plus it comes in an assortment of colors.
If you have any specific questions just ask, and here are some pictures:

Just an FYI: I had a SwitchEasy case for my V1 and the dock protector didn't stay "tight" very long, it kept falling out. I was constantly picking it up and putting it back in place. It got to the point that I had to keep my thumb over it so it wouldn't fall out. I ended up throwing it away. So unless it has been improved upon, be prepared to pitch it.
I did like the case though. They are nice.

Hey guys new to this forum... but thought I would throw on some advice here... I've now owned 3 cases + 1 fullbodyfilm.... The cases are The Switcheasy Capsule Rebel, Switcheasy Color and Seidio Innocase II surface.
Personally I would stay away from fan favorite capsule rebel.. thanks to this case I have scratches on my bezel... I was very careful putting it on and I keep my iphone VERY clean.
Colors case is a pretty good silicon case... very basic but comes with a port and ear phone plug...
Seidio Innocase II surface is by far my favorite.. you get no frills for the price.. just the case.. however when combined with some minor additions this case is steller... I use a powersupport anti-glare on the front... I use the headphone and docking port protectors supplied by swticheasy... and finally I cut up a old anti-glare powersupport sheild and placed it on the back to protect the logo (since its exposed).. this also prevents finger prints on the logo....
Great case adds next to no bulk...

Hello Guys,
Here is my Case i bought the other day it's the Incipio 3G Case, and I love it. it really feels great in my hands, and dont feel like i would drop it, and it goes fine in my pocket. The package i bought came with 2 skins in Black and White skins, and with one Clear plastic case that re-enforces the rubber gel that wraps around the IPhone, you can set it down and not worry about it getting scratched up in any way, it also comes with a screen protector, which i kinda messed up lol and took off the the tape that is required to pull the sticky off to put on your phone, so i just put the whole thing on it, lol the bubbles dont really bother me till im in the Sun an really cant see anything anyway. but moving on lol, it also came with a Iphone stand aswell that keeps it on the side if you just want to set it down on your desk and watch movies so for 30 bucks i really cant complain about this product it feels great an came with extras aswell. the pictures below are other colors but ATT didnt have any of these in stock. but i do like this green. Oh i just wanted to say that the Skins come cut with grooves for the clear back case to fits flush to the skin, you cant even tell its on your phone

I just got my phone, and didn't intend to get a cover. The Apple Store salesman showed me his phone and cover, an "air jacket set" by Power Support. It is a very thin hard cover with "soft plastic" feel like new high end cars. It goes in and out of your pocket easily, but doesn't feel slick in your hand. It comes with clear & opaque screen covers. I vote for it.

To anyone who has had both the iskin revo 1 and 2, or someone who knows.
Does the revo 2 come with the same protective/privacy screen that is applied the the screen like the the revo 1, or is it just a protective film? Just wondering if its the same with the revo 2.
I'm not referring to the clip on plastic cover though.
thanks

I've had my iphone for about 4mos now and have tried a few cases. First one was Griffins Elan Form which I used for the first couple of mos until I was cleaning my phone one day and noticed that the case had left a long scratch down the back of my phone [pissed]. There are no rubber rails on this case to protect the back
Next I tried an Incase slider, black. This case was awesome. Slick, felt good when handling the phone and didn't add much size. Only draw back was that I couldn't get a screen protector to fit without bubbling with this case. It looked like crap after awhile.
I now have a silver SGP case and I love it. Slick as hell, THIN and I like that the front of my phone still shows and is not all covered up.

I recently purchased the incase slider in Gunmetal. (It's not actually metal it's the color.) If you're looking for a case that maintains the size look and feel of the 3G then this is your case. I was anti cases before I heard of these and after I bought it I was really impressed.

I'm getting an iPhone shortly and have been reading through all the posts. I really like this incase slider, and they have metallic ones! My question is: are you able to use a screen protector with this case? I really like it, but would want some sort of protection on the front of the phone. Also, which protectors would you all recommend?

Yes, you can use a screen protector with the incase slider but I really can't suggest which to use. My wife bought me mine and I wouldn't recommend it. It's an anti glare screen and it slightly affects the clarity. I would suggest being really sure it's centered perfectly because if not, when you slide on the incase slider it can hit the protectors edge and cause an air bubble. I think this can be avoided if you apply the screen protector after you put the slider on. Hope this helps!
