i was using my half broken iphone on wifi with no sim card in it. i then used a nokia and cancelled my iphone plan. while using the iphone via wifi, i wasn't charged for data, right? no sim card was in it, and no iphone data plan was on

Wifi is not part of a data plan. If what you say is the case, there will be no charges to worry about.

no sim in it so yeah only used wifi
