Overt the last week I have been surprised by the number of people I've talked to that said they were switching carriers to get the 3G iPhone.

Where I work, people that swore up and down they didn't need or want an iPhone over the course of the last year, seemed to have warmed up to it since then. I am sure the AT&T subsidy is one of the biggest draws towards purchasing the 3G. The old prices of over $400 seems to have kept many people that wanted an iPhone from going through and getting one.

And I love the fact that the V1 users were allowed(maybe a loyalty reward from Apple and AT&T) a crack at the 3G with the very attractive $199 and $299 price tag.

This leads me to the question after reading the first week's postings since 3G launch. After seeing how many new users of iPhone there are here and seeing a lot of the V1 users helping them along the way....
which iPhone user are you?

Well I switched over from Verizon for the first iPhone and have stayed an iPhone/AT&T customer since then.

So, I'm not sure what my choices are, so loyal user?

Sorry. I was trying to think of the best and broadest 3 choices for a poll.
I am really interested in what the makeup is.

I know it's EIC here, and many people are already users, but I am seeing a lot of "noob" questions. I don't mean that in any type of demeaning tone, but a lot of new posts asking about the one speaker being broken takes me back a year.

It's kinda fun seeing people try it out for the first time. Deja' vu'.

Oh okay. I voted. I dont remember if it was there already when I posted, but sorry though.

Yeah. A lot of the questions are like the ones when V1 first came out.

I plan on switching from Verizon to get the 3G... Just as soon as I can get a job.

Part of me feels guilty over it though, as Verizon is the best service I've seen so far.
the iPhone is a must have for me though. :frown: Immature, I know.

Also, would I be paying the $199 price if I were to start a brand new contract with ATT, after never having had one before?

New iphone user that already had AT&T here..

had the same service since it was cingular, i just never got the iphone because of the price..

hell i got it even though i wasn't eligible for the $199 price so i paid $399 for my 8gig.. worth every penny so far :D

i guess warming up to the iphone got me to shell over nearly as much as you v1 users did a year ago huh?

Wife and I had phones through verizon. Month-to-month (no contract) at $75/month. With the new lower price of the iphone we decided to take the plunge. Now $130/month. We love our 3G's!! =)

I had a V1 on a Go phone plan (no contract). Bought the 3G, with contract, of course.
