"Freedom" tells us nothing. What does it do?

Jailbreaking opens the iPhone's filesystem to allow you to run unapproved applications on it. In my opinion, it is now useless, and stupid to do. However, some people still wish to customize their iPhone's look and have filesystem access to it, so they jailbreak it. Many of the apps available crash, are unstable, and are ugly. Therefore, I stick with the AppStore.

let's you download programs for an alternate source other than the app store. There is no price attached to anything either. It's how we got apps before there was an appstore.

yeah, well I want my videorecorder Back as well as a feels other apps we'll never see in app store so it's not stupid or useless for me.

Nothing personal but I had to laugh at that statement as I am finding that a lot of the apps I downloaded so far from the app store are buggy, unstable, and crash. And I paid for them, so what's the difference?

The difference is that they haven't crashed once on my end.

Some people are having problems with 2.0 and their 3G phones. The problem I think is that when you ad on top of it jailbreaking you might be adding fuel to the fire. Thats my only concern with it.
