downgrading my iPhone 3g

hey I have an iPhone 3g and I wAs thinkin of Dow grading my firmware but if I down grade to 1.1.4 will I still be able to use my 3g? Or will I only be able to use edge cause that will defeat the purpose of having a 3g phone.

Mmm, I dont think you can downgrade to firmware 1.1.4, there is no software(yet) to be able to do that for the 3G phone which runs 2.0 out of the box.

im almost positive you would loose 3g when downgrading
obviously you would still have the hardware to do it but i doubt the software is in it to accept a 3g connection
