Hey Guys, Does the new iPhone 2.0 software support 802.1x authentication? The wireless network where I work requires this to be able to access it. I asked this same question a year ago and I was told at that time that 802.1x was not supported but, I was hoping that with the new software that was just released support might have been added.

If not, is there any chance someone could add this functionality? Does it have to be Apple or could a third party develop this and say offer it up through the app store? Maybe there just isn't enough demand for this?

I would appreciate any input you guys have on this. It is really my only gripe with the phone at this point.

Nevermind guys. I found the answers I was looking for. iPhone 2.0 does support 802.1x. If anyone else is interested in getting that setup the following web page is a good place to start. I am up and running on the wireless here at work!
