Sorry if this has been answered before, I wasnt able to find any threads concerning the issue.
If I buy a V1 phone from a friend,
1. Will I be able to join AT&T with no contract?
2. Will I be able to get the cheaper data plan or will I be paying the same amount as I would with the Iphone 3G?

Yes you should be able to join and get your own contract and yes you should only have to pay he $20 a month because you are not having the 3g plan.

You will have to have a contract if you want ATT.

If you have a first gen iphone, you get the original iphone data prices.
