Restore problem

I used outlook to save my contacts from my phone and selected sync with outlook from the info tab..then i went to my phone and selected backup ...i restored it and then chose the backup i selected..gave me my contacts back but it also gave me a contacts icon on my phone which i dont want...any solution how to get rid of it?
