3G battery life [Archive]

Has anyone experienced really crappy battery power? My fully charged battery barely lasts a full 8 hours even if NOT using it much! :frown: (ie mainly in stand by mode) I"m just wondering what others are experiencing.

I"m going to try and turn OFF the 3G tomorrow after I fully charge it tonight to see if that helps. Also I will turn off the PUSH email and set it Manually Fetch.

Well today, here's my usage ratings. And keep in mind, this was with a lot of Super Monkey Ball and other game playing, and a lot of 3G internet surfing.

Its at 20% which lasts a long time for me, actually.

So for the ratings-
Usage- 3 Hours, 59 Minutes
Standby- 16 Hours, 6 Minutes

Not too bad...

We keep hearing about battery life problems. I think 3G is using a lot more battery as expected, but 2.0 is a real battery hog itself even on first gen iphones. I don't know whether it's because everything is new and we're playing with them more, but we're definitely hearing more and more complaints.
