How do you do it? I haven't really gotten in depth, but I have a 1st gen that I'm going to send to Malaysia and it costs 130 dollars to unlock it there.

Any suggestions?

First plug in your iPhone to your Mac or PC. Then download ZiPhone here (http://www.ziphone.org/), and launch the program. Select "Jailbreak and Unlock" anf go. Done.

If you do a search in the forum, you'll find ample answers and suggestions. One simple and popular way is to use ziphone (http://ziphone.org/).

Can you Jailbreak and Unlock with the new 2.0 software?

There's something in the air  but I don't think it's widely available yet.

Is there instructions on how to downgrade from 2.0? Because I just got a 3G iPhone and I was going to send the V1 to Malaysia and I upgraded my V1 to 2.0.

I had no idea I was going to get a 3G and my uncle just brings me one.
