Thanks guys for all the responses to my first ever post/thread, you have helped tremendously!
One other question I just thought of. It is regarding Push/Fetch email.
Is AOL a Push email? My two email accounts are AOL.
Under Settings/Fetch New Data/Advanced...I only have the option of Fetch or Manual. I thought AOL was a Push email?
If it is not a Push, does that mean I should turn Push OFF under Settings/Fetch New Data/Push and just Fetch every hour or so?
Thanks guys!

Do you have enterprise or mobile me? Those are the only ways to get true push email. Everything else is a fetch setting.

Nope, just using plain old AOL Mail.
However, I just got an email on my phone of your response almost immediately after you posted..and I have my settings set to Push OFF and Fetch 1 Hour..hmm..interesting

yahoo uses push mail as well. If you don't use Yahoo mail. Then i suggest turning off push mail.

Apple says that as well but for me, theres nothing push about it. I've tried with 3 different accounts, and yes my settings for push are on.

I have push for exchange and MobileMe. I didn't even set up the MobileMe. It took my .mac settings and everything just started working. September can't get here fast enough for me to upgrade to 3G.

Push is hit or miss on Yahoo. It will sometimes work and it won't. I've noticed that with my account.

Ohh. Well that sucks for those not on exchange, and those who dont want MobileMe.
...oh how I miss BlackBerry email. No matter what account, always push.

can someone please explain the difference between push and fetch. is push an automatic email coming through that informs you and fetch is finding out if it came manually?

Yahoo! has their new Ymail.com email addresses. If you want POP forwarding, you have to pay an annual fee. You get Push with that.
Yahoo! mail is so messed up right that I cannot get to all the Options of my ***.yahoo.com account so I can't see if they've disable POP forwarding for all!
