Slingbox?

Anyone here have any information as to when we'll see a Slingbox app for the iphone? The reason I'm posting this in the 3g forum is because I figure that such an app would be better with 3g, and I'm looking for a reason to upgrade. Thanks

There's no word yet on if and when it will be released but SlingPlayer has certainly entertained the thought on numerous occasions.

I read an article today that Slingplayer is trying to get it approved for the app store. I saw a video of it working on a jailbroken iphone on one of the gadget websites a few months ago and it looked awesome. If you google slingbox, iphone you will find an article from june 2008.

theres also some company called orb or something that lets u watch tv ifu have a tv tuner card on your computer. i think theyre trying to get approved as well

Only drawback we'll probably only get to watch one quarter of a football game before the 3g drains the battery.
