SMS Notification

I was talking to someone when i recieved a text message, when i recieved sms it made that SMS notification alert while i was on call with someone.

Is there a way to turn that off? ... I don't want the notification completely turned off, but just the part when i am on call it dosent rings with alert.

I dont think you can turn it off partially in a call. Its either the way you have it now, or no notifications at all.

If you want to, when your on a call, slide the ringer/silent switch to the silent position.
If you have it set to vibrate on silent, during a call, the phone will vibrate instead of make the tone.

This is a big gripe of my mine with the iPhone...alot of options you should be able to change, like this but you cant...why Apple?
