Iphone Crashed!! Help please

So here is the thing...

I have had no problems up till now, I tried an app I have added to my Iphone and it starts to open but then crashes and it went straight back to the home screen of the Iphone. Tried again and nothing, so I did a restore ( held down Wake button and the bottom one ) it turned off and flashed at me and then I waited a few mins and now all I get is the apple log on the screen, I did notice the battery was really low before I did all this past the 10% mark.

So is it the fact that there is not enough power to turn on, hence the apple log and nothing? Or do I have a larger problem??

Try:

Charging the phone, if it still doesn't work, then:

Plug into iTunes, if it still doesn't work then:

Press and hold the home button, and plug into iTunes. Do not let got of the button, until the iTunes symbol comes up on the iPhone. This means the phone is now in recovery mode, and you can restore now.

Same thing happened to my dad, and he spent 2 hrs on the phone to Apple before they figured it out lol. Then it happened to me, on the same day! lol
