Well, the iphone supports groups from Exchange and AddressBook. And if you create a contact within a group using the phone, I am pretty sure it gets assigned to that group. But if you are asking for an app that lets you create groups from the iphone, not sure.

I am trying to group my contacts in Mobile Me. I use Outlook on a PC as my main address book and I imported my address book to Mobile me from Outlook. My iPhone supports Groups but I can't see how to create them. Any ideas?

The iphone will accept groupings from Exchange, Mobileme, and AddressBook on the mac. You cannot create groups on the iphone, but once they come over via a sync you can add contacts to a group but not move them from one to another. You associate them by going to the group in contacts and then creating a new contact.

Is there a way to be only available for certain groups for phone calls? I used to have an Ericsson 610 and I was able to set it up so that only my wife's incoming would ring, anyone else was forwarded to my voice mail. I am missing that feature.

That was a great feature on Ericsson phones. Individual number str8 to VM was awesome, too.
Not yet on this phone, but I haven't seen too many other phones that did what the Ericsson did as far as number sniffing.

Go to the Contact view (second icon at the top), then in the left tower, at the bottom, click the '+' to add a group.
