Have you dropped your new iPhone on a hard surface yet? What happened?
Yes. I dropped mine on my couch while I was taking the protective cover off :gasp:

Nothing other than a close call. I was walking and the belt clip came off. Good thing I worked on my reflexes :laugh2:.

PC World did a great review on this and I was very surprised what it could do. It's practically bulletproof!

This should answer all your questions about how durable the iPhone is. I'm Impressed.
WARNING: This video may make your skin crawl seeing a $600 device getting beat up.

Yeah, I bought that stupid Belkin Clear case.
I had it on my belt and the clip just came loose. As it was falling( like slow motion) the case came apart in mid air. My phone landed face side down and slid about 4 feet.
DO NOT BUY THE CLEAR BELKIN CASE!
By the way, no thanks to the case, my phone face doesn't have a scratch on it.
If this is the way apple makes all it's products, I may have to switch from pc to mac.

I've dropped mine 3 times, 2 on carpet and one on linoleum (on top of concrete). It doesn't have a scratch on it and works flawlessly. I've attached it with superglue to my hand so it won't happen again ;)
