Sos!!! Help!!!

I have original iphone 8 gb. Finally got itunes 7.7 to install. Started to install 2.0...the process seems to have stopped. I get a message from itunes that it can't access itunes store because the network connection was reset. iphone is showing the itunes icon with a usb connector with arrow pointing to itunes icon. iphone has been connecte to computer the entire time.

Can anyone help? Thanks!!

There's several threads already with people with this same problem. It took me over an hour. You just have to keep trying eventually it will go through.

I guess you just posted this without looking at any of the other 25 or so topics about this very problem? No big deal....There is no answer. Wait.

Also try disconnecting and reconnecting over and over and eventually it will go through but it may take awhile.

Hey, sorry about that...the stuff I read seemed different from what was happening here.

So I should just leave iphone connected to computer and keep opening and closing itunes until it connects? Sorry if I sound dopey...I'm not really a tech person.

yep... just leave it plugged in or if that makes you nervous, eject it and plug it back in every 5 minutes or so...

it'll work eventually...

Well, it only took from 8 am to 4:18 pm, but the update is complete! WOO HOO!!

om after i do that do u think it will show that i can update to 2.0 cuz right now it says 1.1.4 is current. and im in california and its almost 2:00 pm shouldnt it be out

It should unless apple has removed the update to relieve the pressure on the itunes store servers.

I am also in Calif. and it doesn't matter, itunes downloads and upgrades are so jammed still that you have to keep trying. I have disconnected, resynced, restarted computer and sometimes the new version upgrade pops up and sometimes it says 1.1.4 is the current, no matter what I still can't upgrade, I think its worse in California right now because we got everything later. It's a joke.

hey guys... i finally got to update but now it is saying that itunes is unavailable. anyone else have this problem
