I am apparently out of the loop, can someone please explain the "rebate" for old iphones?? Do we turn them in, and they credit them towards the 3G?? If that is the case, what is the price for the new phone?
Thanks so much in advance. :laugh2:

There is no credit or rebate for old iPhones.

Do you mean the $100 credit Apple gave out to the people that bought the iPhone first and then lowered the prices?

You automatically qualify for the discounted price of the 3G iphone if you bought a first generation iphone and currently have the iphone data plan on your account. If you don't have your iphone anymore and you've dropped the iphone data plan, then you'll need to be eligible for an upgrade to get the discounted price on the new iphone 3G. There's no rebate or credit for having the original iphone; there's just the discount towards the purchase of the new iphone 3G.

$199 for the 8GB and $299 for the 16GB. If you don't get the discount, they will be $399 and $499.
