Do you think apple will be requiring security measures such as Social Security Numbers and billing account passwords for there in store activations, or just the basics?

Most likely just the basics.
Name and last 4 digits of the SSN.
But thats just what I think theyre going to ask for.

Pretty sure they've announced they'll require SS number, Photo ID etc.

100% they're going to ask for a password.
It's just like calling on the phone. They can't let you touch the account without the password. Without the password, there's no proof it's your account. You know?

Well Apple's probably going to be using the iTunes activation thing...for existing customers, did you have to enter your password and SSN on it to add the iPhone and change your plan? I activated as a new customer, so I don't know.

But if the existing customers had to enter that stuff, Apple's most likely doing something similar, so we probably will have to.

Good question. But wasnt there something on the forum about Apple using a special version of iTunes to activate?

And what about when you do a restore? Everytime if your phone has a problem you have to take it in to activate it?

Thats what's shocking me. I thought I would be how you, and everyone else is, just like I was for the first iPhone...but I'm not like this, this time. Oh well though, better for me to sleep I guess...but lately I've been getting very anxious.
