the blue is 3g coverage and i live in fort lauderdale so im good :) and all of the major areas in florida are covered too. miami, fort lauderdale, palm beach, tampa, orlando. ect.

wow i never knew how little 3g coverage actually was in the US
sucks for the potential iphone 3g owners.

if anyone wanted to see the 3g coverage map

i work right across the street from an att store. 1 mile down the road is the boca mall, my mom has a hair salon there.. doors open at 9, stores at 10. i might just try this out at 8am and if it has a HUGE line, i will go to the mall, have her let me in the back and wait an hour at the apple store. :)

So far, there is no one on here that lives close to me. I guess I'm the only one getting an iPhone 3G where I live. LOL j/k

Oldsmar FL here, while I am not going to upgrade for awhile yet I thought I would drive by the store after upgrading my firmware and downloading some apps.

Wellington here
You may want to come up this way. There are 3 ATT stores within 10 miles of each other and an Apple Syore in the mall.

I-95 & Okeechobee Blvd.- AT&T
I-95 & Palm Beach Lakes Blvd.- AT&T
441 (SR7) 1/4 mile south of Southern Blvd.-AT&T
Wellington Green Mall- Apple Store.

Last Year the Apple Store was busy but not too bad and the AT&T store on 441 was not bad at all.
Hopefully with so many in he vicinity it will help spread people out.
Good luck.
I will be trying to get mine in Egg Harbor NJ.
Hope nobody else knows about this AT&T store LOL

Orlando area here, I know central Florida, but I will be at the Millenia Apple Store in the morning. My current phone is a Blackjack 2 and it has 3G. I never have a problem with 3 G except when inside attraction buildings or the tunnels under the Magic Kingdom. 3G in Orlando area is very good for those that were interested

I can confirm this since I frequently travel to the Orlando/Melbourne area. 98.9% of the time I have 3G service AND full bars. As explained above, except if Im in an attraction, but that is to be expected since the amount of iron/metal found in the attractions not to mention RF/Electronic interference.
