Software idea: Source response time report

I don't know about most of you but I have a lot of sources listed in Installer and it always appears that one or another slows down the refresh process.
I wish someone would develop a tool that will ping the different source servers listed in your installer program and reply to you with a report showing which have serious time delays for responding. Then you would know which may be delaying your refreshing and you could remove the serious offenders until needed.
