Will it be available unlocked?

I am considering buying an iPhone 3G soon after it is released.

I was wondering, since they are activating in store will it be possible to buy unlocked iPhone 3G's of eBay allowing the use of payG SIMs?

No one knows for sure yet, but the assumption is that someone will figure out how to unlock it sooner rather than later.

IT will be unlocked, now will 3G work on it? Who knows.

im sure itll be unlocked but the problem is going to be getting an iphone off of an att contract
