Why Installer apps will always have an edge on Appstore Apps

SSH. If Apple allows it I will be shocked, since it allows access to the file structure. Being able to upload personal files is totally necessary for certain kinds of apps. For example, eBook readers need to give the user an option to upload their own eBooks to store on the phone. Emulators need ROMS. Do you guys see where I'm going with this?

Yeah, I do; I can't see Apple ever allowing SSH. But there are a lot more reasons why AppStore apps will always have an edge on Installer apps.

there will be no need for emulators, first of all they kinda suck, as far as i saw alot of devs started making native iphone games, i there will probably be alot of them in the future, cuz there will be a big market for them, and we will probably have access to the files on our iphones some way or the other

Money drives us all. Create an app for installer and get no money, spend some time, put it on the appstore and make some money. The thought of a paycheck should drive higher quality apps.

My take? It's subjective. What's the better situation: Potentially buggy software at the bargain price of $0.00, or supposedly stable software for a fee?

I heard that 2.0 was already jailbroken, but not sure if that's true. My hope is to have a jailbroken 2.0 so I can have my Installer and App Store too.
