I dont have a mac, so...?

or you could try iphone.beejive.com IMO, its the best IM webapp for the iphone ive tried so far :2cool:

When chatting online, does the iPhone update what the other person is saying "instantly" like its supposed to be?

I've never been satisfied with mobile versions of Instant Messengers. I usually just set my messengers at home to forward to my phone, but then i have to wait for someone to talk to me first. :(

I read yesterday on TUAW that Apollo (http://www.apolloapp.com/#) would be making it to the App Store with 2.0. While it has been available on Installer for quite a while, now they are focusing on the SDK for a "legal" (http://code.google.com/p/apolloim/) release next month.
