View Full Version : Aggie's long overdue, highly anticipated reveal
aggieman

Ok well maybe not highly anticipated.
I usually don't reveal myself in public. I tried to relieve myself in public one time. It did not end up too well.
Ok, lets see. I'm 31 years old, born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I lived here all my life except for 4 or 5 years in College Station, Texas at Texas A&M where I received an education (I think, the details are kinda fuzzy). My main hobby there was playing cards and drinking beer so I was really more educated in the more important things. I could have played the Van Wilder card, only I wasn't quite as good looking, nor as popular, and Tara Reid sure as hell wasn't in College Station, Texas.
Hobbies: Obviously I like to go out and have a few cold ones. I spend most of my weekends either on the lake on my boat or on the golf course. I'm a huge fan of all Dallas sports teams, especially the Cowboys and Stars, and a huge golf fan NASCAR fan as well (#88). I'm a fan of many golfers, Tiger of course, Lefty, John Daly because he's a nut, pre decline David Duval, Justin Leonard (hometown guy) and the legends like Hogan, Palmer, Byron Nelson (had the privilege to meet him a few times), the Golden Bear, Greg Norman. My favorite golfer of course is my dad, and watching him play in the Byron Nelson Pro-Am every year is the ultimate thrill for me. I take a few trips a year 2 1/2 hours south to see Aggie football, baseball and basketball games. I play ice hockey occasionally in the leagues for old guys that like to drink beer (before and after games). I'm an avid hunter, fisherman, and all around outdoors guy. I hate being in the house unless I'm either watching sports, sleeping, or eating. Love to take my 2007 Chevy Z71 out and run it around in the mud from time to time.
I work in construction with my family. My dad started the company back in the 80's and we've grown to be pretty large. I'm a project manager and estimator. It is pretty demanding and working with family can be challenging, but it has its perks and I love what I do.
I'm engaged to a beautiful woman who is way too pretty for me, and for her lowering her standards to be with a sports obsessed, average looking lush such as myself and putting up with all the crap that comes along with it, I in turn give her my heart and loyalty forever. We will be getting married in August and while a part of me will be sad to see the freedom go, I know I'm a pretty lucky guy. Hopefully next year I can begin to start a family as I'm not exactly young, and unlike my uncle I don't wanna be in my mid 40's having my first kid!
Alright, I've said enough. Figured I'd use my 2,000th post for something other than the "test post only, don't read" thread.

Oh, I'm not so sure you wanna be in Philly during a Cowboys game... lol! But if you think you're ready for that, mi casa, su casa!
And I totally knew you were Jason... [hand! apply directly to the forehead!]

Hey I'm sure they don't hate us as much as the Washington fans do ;) I still remember the bounty bowl when Buddy Ryan was there and of course the pelting of Jimmy Johnson with the snowballs, oh and booing Irvin when he sustained the career ending injury. Yeah, classy bunch of fans :tounge: You're right I might not be ready for that!

lol yeah, TO is one of those guys you like when he's on your team, but you hate when he's not.
I used to hate him and even when he came here I didn't care for him. But he really has changed the past couple seasons (so far). I'm surprised with how he handled his contract situation this off season, saying the right things, not causing distractions, and in turn he got exactly what he wanted. Maybe he's realized being a baby and an ass won't get him what he wants and surely won't get him in the Hall of Fame. Of course he's older now and he still doesnt have a championship ring. He's definitely in a good spot to get one.
I still haven't forgiven him for back when he was with the Niners and dancing on the Cowboys star at midfield after a touchdown(twice-and on the second one George Teague put a major hit on him as he did it).

What a great reveal, Aggster! Both you and your fiance are fortunate to have each other. I, for one, think that you're more bark than bite when it comes to all of your 'other women' gibberish. How exciting to hear that you're planning on starting a family in the near future! Perhaps you and Dave can hold a joint guys' baby shower. :tounge: Looking forward to hearing more about the adventures of married life in August. Love ya, Aggs!

Awesome reveal. Looking forward to November.
Jason and Dave -
TO is freakin' awesome. I'd rather have him on my team over any receiver in the NFL, including Moss.
Anyway - do you play fantasy football? I have 4 spots left in a free league in Yahoo, and would like to fill it with avid players that won't quit halfway through. PM me if you are interested.

Thank you for the kind words :)
Yes meeting Byron Nelson was definitely a sweet moment for me. During the pro-am even in his last years he would ride around the course in a cart and observe what was going on and interact with players and spectators. He really was a special man and it is hard not to appreciate what he did for the game of golf and the Dallas/Ft Worth community. We are actually one of the contractors on the new high school that is being built in the town where he lived, which is appropriately named Byron Nelson High School. Kind of an honor for me.

Thank you Buffy! yeah, I bark alot so to speak, and alot of crap falls out of my mouth from time to time, but that's just what it is. And don't get me wrong, I'll always love to look at beautiful women. I kinda compare it to being on a diet. I've always loved chocolate, and just because I'm on a diet, I don't stop liking chocolate, but I don't eat it :tounge:
I don't know about baby showers, I'm not much on those kinds of things. I'd let the ladies have fun with that and go for a round of golf while they enjoy their time ;)

Thank you! I agree TO is awesome. He had probably the 2nd best season of his career last season at the "old" by NFL standards age of 34. Hopefully he can continue to come close to that the next few years as Jerry just signed him to a pretty lucrative extension.
I'm a hardcore fantasy guy, send me a PM with the info and I'm there.
