Hey Group,

I would appreciate if someone can guide me on how to go about create iPhone applications. Am working as an accountant in a software company. But I have learnt programming and I still do little of that in my free time. What I want to know is:

- what does one need to know, meaning, which software program or application should I know?
- and if am unaware of that particular application, where can I learnt it? Basically how and where should I start?

I'd appreciate any help/guidance.

Regards,

You need a Mac and the SDK software with the emulator package. The SDK ( Software Development Kit) is available from Apple's website

i believe it's Objective C - every bit of information you'll need to use the SDK is posted on Apple's site HERE (http://developer.apple.com/iphone/), including video tutorials and extensive documentation and instructions, but you need to be a registered iphone developer to access all of it. unless there are registered iphone developers here who can share the information that apple provides with registration, i don't think you'll get much more information here...

Yep, those videos and documentation linked to above should help you out. They did me. It covers everything included in the SDK, which are the same tools that Apple used to build the existing apps on the iPhone.

Check the Developer section of this site, most of us there are developing iPhone applications. To date, there are two books out on how to build iPhone applications. I have one but haven't read it yet, I just more or less am winging it with the SDK and see what comes out. :2cool:
