I am trying to figure out if there is something wrong with my iPhone. Sometimes WiFi access is very, very slow on my iPhone. This typically happens when accessing various message boards. The progress bar will get to around 80% and then just stop and sit there for the longest time before completing. Of course, this varies by website, with some better than others. But it is very annoying. Has anyone else had performance problems with the WiFi on your iPhone?

Some sites with flash animations take longer than others.

True what Cols said. Flash can slow things down.

Does the flash make it slow because the CPU in the iphone is slow or his WIFI? Because I have the same prob when I used WIFI at my house and my connection is 8mbps/2mbps.

my wifi connection with the iPhone is obviously slower than my computer, but I constantly run at a 1.2mbps on speed tests.
When your iPhone wifi goes slow, have you tried other computers in your house to see if its the ISP and not the phone? Have you cleared out the cookies and cache lately? Have you reset the phone lately. Any time I have an issue with safari, I just clear out everything, give it a reset and I'm back in action.

3500-4500k here. I noticed I was consistently in the upper end of that range with my mom's new linksys router (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=207390899&listingid=21762669&dcaid=17902) last time I went home. Great range too... I was impressed. Might pick up one for myself.

I have had issues where some sites take a significant amount of time longer than normal. (I only frequent 3 or 4 message boards regularly, so it cant be the site I'm trying to load).
I've been trying to figure it out for a couple of weeks myself. I'm guessing its something on my router's side of things. Maybe someone has figured out my password? IDK.
