I use ziphone but was curious as to which method is best. I mean what makes one better than the other?

I think the key word is stability. ZiPhone itself seemed to be buggier in the 3.0 and higher versions than the previous versions.
Personally, the most recommendations I ever saw were for version 2.6 (b I believe) It's still out there if you google it.

Use ZiPhone 3.0. Just restore to a new phone before you jailbreak with anything. Stop iTunes from syncing after restore. Close iTunes run ZiPhone 3.0 "Jailbreak" button NOT NOT NOT "Jailbreak & Activate". I used "Jailbreak & Activate" button and YouTube would not work. After about 3 restores & jailbreaks with no success of getting YouTube to work I tried the "Jailbreak" only button and everything works fine. It should take about 60 secs. Very Easy...

I used ZiPhone and it was buggy, took longer for programs to launch, spotty connection issues etc..I then broke with iLiberty+ (mac version) and its been much better.

No issues what so ever in fact the only time I had to rejailbreak was last night after an iLog issue trying to have it merge with the recents call log.

My vote would be for iLiberty+

1.1.4 and Ziphone 2.5c

That's the windows version. I have it and will never get rid of it. It has been flawless for me, my wife, and my friend, as well as everyone I've recommended it to on here.

Can ziPhone be undone without having to jump through hoops?

I thought ziPhones one way ticket is what made it the "Non Ideal" choice.

As far as I know, ALL jailbreaks can easily be un-done, simply by restoring the phone.
Now, UNLOCKING- that's a different story. The person to talk with about that would be themaninthedark

Uh...what? Someone is giving you crap information. You plug your iPhone into your computer and hit the Restore button in iTunes. ZiPhone doesn't prevent you from doing that...

I am talking about the one way bootloader change that was discussed on many sites. Ziphone took you to a permamnent 3.9 that could only be reversed with a hardware testpoint refresh. So once there you could never change it.

Other programs used a fake 3.9 that could be reversed.

Has this issue been resolved across the board? I would not want to make any permamnent change to my iphone that might lock me out of options in the future.
