International Assist

Okay,
So I go onto my iPhone and am playing around on it and finally found something VERY erm...interesting to say the least...
What I found was that International Assist was on [located in Settings, <Phone, <<International Assist (options: ON or OFF)] and whadda know.. I see the bright blue ON sign, meaning International Assist is ON?!??!
Will this affect my phone bill?!?!
*FYI*: I had just restored my phone, which makes me wonder about how AT&T does things...:wink:
Comments on if this will affect my bill would be appreciated.

reading what it says it puts the 001 country code in when calling from a foreign country.
