MOD's to the top bar on iPhone

I have seen a few iphones where the top bar, where it says AT&T, has been modified to say whatever the owner wants, instead of the at&t thing.

How are they doing this?

first you have to jailbreak your iphone to get read/write access to the file system. Then either manually edit the image files, or use an app like "customize" that provides a GUI to help you do it.

if you just want to edit carrier text (not an image) then I would use an app called "Make it Mine." It is super easy to use and it works on 1.1.4.

After you jailbreak install StatusStyle, which is on the Installer. It's simple and works great. :2cool:
