I have tried everything, but safari keeps crashing. Its not from to many windows opening and apple support says if all else fails bring in for an exchange. I don't want a return, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

have you tried completely shutting down the phone?
Don't just put it to sleep or lock it, but hold down the lock button until you get the "slide to power off" screen. Power the phone completely off and then power it on again. You should get the Apple logo while it is booting up. If this doesn't help, then you need to take Apple's advice and exchange it for a new one.

Have you tried clearing your cache? Have you tried a reset? Have you tried a restore? Do you have the current firmware?
Some websites simply won't work on the iPhone and cause Safari to close. Kind of annoying, but you have to remember the iPhone browser is not the desktop browser.

thanks for the advice, I have even done a restore and it didn't help. I was hoping 2.0 upgrade in June might have some fixes.
Best regards

Do the same websites cause the problem consistency? Have you or anyone else, possibly here at EIC, been able to reproduce your problem? It may very well be possible what you are experiencing is a generic iPhone issue.
Can you provide links to the sites you can't open with your iPhone?

I've found that if you fill the iPhone up completely with songs/videos so that there is NO room left, combined with a low battery, e-mail and safari tend to crash much more often... Hope they fix this with the 2.0!!

sounds like you have more problems than a full phone.

i have had the same problems, i'll be on travian or something and next minute its on my home screen, i'm sat there thinking what!?! i go back on it and few mins/secs later back on my home screen!
i then check that my cache is clear and turn the thing off then it works for a bit then it stops again!! but this only happes every now and then! i've even phoned apple, and all they said was if it keeps happening we'll take it away and look at it!

Yep, that's my exact problem. Just try to get rid of, like, 100 MB and it should stop. That's what I did, and I haven't had any problems for several months.
