I had my laptop stolen, and many of my pics of grandchildren are on my iPhone but not my computer, Is it possible to download from albums, not just the film roll?
For a PC: Do not have ITunes running, connect your IPhone to a computer, you should see a prompt which will allow you to download the pictures off the IPhone. Scroll down till you see Microsoft scanner and camera wizard on the PC.
Someone who owns a Mac will have to fill in the procedure for that OS.

If I am not mistaken that process will only allow downloading the images taken with the camera itself and will not download the images that you have in your albums (uploaded through iTunes to the phone). Those images are stored in database files and are not individual .jpg files like the ones taken with the camera are.
There are several after market programs that allow downloading the images out of the albums but I do not know of any that are free. Tansee makes one called "Tansee iPhone Transfer Photo" that works very well but I seem to recall that it costs about $20.

Quite happy to pay for a program, and that cost seems reasonable, thanks. I'll investigate:smile:

Sounds cool! If it is pics from the camera then use the process I found. If it is in the photo library then check around for a program (as mention above) to retrieve them. Another process which may take longer to get pics out of the Photo library is to select the picture, in the bottom left corner you will see like an arrow, select that and you will see three options, one which will allow you to e-mail the photo.
Good Luck!

2000 emails? lol grandchildren and two sons' weddings!!!:laugh2: The film is already downloaded fine, but right now I am scared to delete the film :embarrassed:
Glad to hear that you got the Camera Roll downloaded, but yes 2000 e-mails would be a lot. Also I checkout the Iphone user guide (found online) and found this for the Mac:
On a Mac: In iPhoto, click Import. iPhoto should open automatically.

That just imports the film roll, not the photos stored in folders.:frown:
