I lens (the small circle of glass over it, I think) seems to be scratched. When you look at it at the right angle you can see all these lines and my pix all have that soft focused look. I've tried cleaning it with a microfiber clot, but it did not help.

Does any one know if this is a replaceable part?

This is something I've always wondered about myself. Unfortunately I haven't heard of this happening that often so I don't really know what procedures could be taken to fix it. I would think Apple would be able to fix it for cheaper than the typical $250 repair fee. If you've cleaned it thoroughly several times (the lens that is) then I would recommend restoring (if you're Jailbroken and/or Unlocked) and then visit your local Apple store. It might also be something that you can fix yourself but I'm not too familiar with self-replacement jobs.

Well, it won't be covered under warranty, but technically you caused the damage.
