I used to have the first Slingbox (2 years ago), but upgraded when the new ones came out. I now have the Slingbox Pro with the HD dongle thing. I can stream via my AT&T Tilt, but not via an iPhone. I hope with the new iPhone, Sling Media will release a mobile player for that.

I have my cable box, DVD player and a camcorder attached to the box. It's cool. I can spy on the dust in my apartment when I am at work.

I watch TV on my work PC during my lunch hour. Or so my boss thinks ;)

Dude, via the internet is cool. I watched TV all the way from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. I have no idea where the cell towers are in the dessert, but I got 3G all the way.

I love my SlingBox, one of the best tech devices I've purchased. It works so well and I hope that there really is a SlingPlayer app available for the 3G iPhone shortly after the release.

Dang I forgot about Iron Chef last night. Fortunately they rerun them pretty frequently.

The only options I've seen so far is Snapz Pro X (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/). I haven't tried it myself, so I'm not sure how good it is. Should you decide to run Windows via bootcamp/parallels/vmware fusion, there's a program called At-Large Recorder, specifically for SlingBox recordings.

Slingbox rocks and looking forward to the iPhone app --- but that's going to also require a new iPhone.:foot: I have to send my Slingbox back for repair. I jammed in the IR plug and mangled the port. Everything works, save for the changing of channels. I have to call them tomorrow and set up an RMA, so I can get it back ASAP.

My greatest Slingbox moment was catching the season finale of The Soprano's when I was traveling. I knew that if I didn't watch it, I would have found out what happened (or in actuality, what didn't happen).

You could always buy a Tivo and use that for recording? Doesn't your cable/satellite company offer a DVR?

yeah... but that costs more money... and I'd rather have the videos stored locally on my computer.

Get one of those TV tuner cards for your PC. That is the only way you will be able to record stuff from your PC.
