ipod touch/d-link di-524 router problem

Got my new touch a few days ago. It works well but I can't get my d-link router to recognize the device....no i.p. etc. Has anyone else dealt with this problem and if so is there a solution? Thanks ... Scott.

can anything else connect with the router? The reason I ask is because the first DLink router I bought could barely connect at 3 feet, but the replacement i got is good all throughout my apartment.
I also put a high gain antenna on my router too. :tounge:
